I clip from the thoat up to the chin with a #10, and from the front corner of the ear straight down to the jaw to the chin. I use a #10 on the entire underjaw. I'm not sure how the show dogs are groomed, but I blend I clip the ears against the grain making an up side down "V" shape above the ear, I make a diamond shaped tassel at the end of the ear.
